The topic of the Study Service Sunday is THE HEAVENLY MINISTRY
OF CHRIST or THE REIGN OF CHRIST. We are continuing our study
of the Holy Spirit but this time from the aspect of the heavenly reign
of Christ. The New Testament sees the ascension as Jesus' installation
to the right hand of God to rule over heaven and earth. There, he
continues his ministry, ruling by his Word and Spirit, by the power of the
gospel and his continual prayer for the world.
The heavenly ministry is no less of a ministry than before, only
now he exercises it from heaven, not alongside us in the sense
of "with" us as he was in his physical presence with the disciples
but "in" us as he was "in" them after Pentecost.

"The God of Jesus Christ give you a spirit of wisdom and
of revelation in the knowledge of Him, having the eyes of
your hearts enlightened, that you may know what is the hope to which He has called you"
